What do they do though? I was 18. It muct be the hardest thing for a parent. I think they dealt with it the best way they could, they often dropped in lines about being safe and stuff, just made me feel so guilty that it kind of puts you off. I wonder had Any Winehouse parent's wish they had been stricter ? Her Dad seems a decent bloke but she lost to it all.
The majority do just grow out of it and move on, some got lost totally.

I'll be furious if Kat wins tbh, what has she actually done? Its boring tv watching her, thats why she doesnt get much air time on the show itself other than crying. Like Mario said the other night, she's a 30 year old woman who has lived in this country for 10 years or so and its pathetic that when people start arguing she runs off crying. If people want her to win because she cant speak English and they find that funny then they need to seriously get out more. In fact i find it piss porr how bad her English is and wonder how she got onto the programme some times. Dont get me wrong, I dont hate her like I have hated the ones who have gone but for her to win? Nah

I thinks its a bit extreme to ban kids from playing games and watching stuff, especially when the kid is not a wild child. My folks brought me up in a very laissez faire manner where i could play what i want, watch what i want, go out where i want (within reason) as long as they knew where i was, they were fine about it. As i've never really been in a fight since I was about 8 (except for being smacked by a Leeds fan outside Elland Road), i think you can send the kids off the wrong way by being so strict on them.

A lot, not all.

I agree with what Malc was saying about the respect thing, but if I knew my kid was doing drugs, I certainly wouldn't put it down to them growing up and hoping they'd grow out of it.

We need to catch UP with the USA. Need a zero tolerance policy on anyone caught with a knife like in NY.
